Tulane Orientation Team Leader Position

The Tulane Office of Orientation and Parent Programs is currently inviting students to apply for the position of Orientation Team Leader (OTL). The OTL position is paid, and selected students are hired at the end of January and work from February through the end of June to prepare for and implement New Student Orientation, and they return in mid-August to make final preparations for Welcome Week. These student leaders will be representatives of the Tulane community and will become positive models and guides for incoming students.

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of two Interest Sessions to learn more about the 2014 position prior to applying:

  • Thursday, November 14 @ 5:00 PM, Race Room, 201 LBC
  • Monday, December 2 @ 5:00 PM, Race Room, 201 LBC

Any student unable to attend one of the two interest sessions is welcome to stop by my office or set up an individual meeting with me. The application is now open and will close on Sunday, December 15. Students should visit the orientation page to view the full position description and formally apply.

While current first year students are not prohibited from applying for the position, the Office of Orientation and Parent Programs is seeking students with strong leadership skills and knowledge of campus services and offices. They are looking to recruit a diverse and passionate group of student leaders to welcome and assist the Class of 2018 with their transition into the Tulane community.
