As we finish up our first week back at Tulane we also near the much needed celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Although there is only an official Martin Luther King Jr. Day we at Taylor encourage everyone to take this WEEKEND to give back to the community and reflect on how we can continue to make King’s dream a reality.

CPS MLK DAY OF SERVICE
Tulane students go to Orgsync for registration.
HANDS ON NEW ORLEANS VOLUNTEER DAY
Location: Gentilly Terrace Charter School, 4720 Painters St.
Time: 9:00am
Includes painting, landscaping, and gardening to benefit the school.
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. COMMEMORATIVE ART EXHIBITION
Location: Ashe Cultural Arts Center, 1724 O.C. Haley Blvd
Time: 5:00pm
Reception and panel discussion is at 5:00pm and the theme for the exhibit is “The Only Road to Freedom.”
SUNDAY
LET’S CLEAN UP THE MESS
Location: Oretha Castle Haley (From Calliope to Philip St.)

LIFT EVERY VOICE AND SING CONCERT
