52Businesses 2.0

Do you remember Jenny McNulty’s post about the enormously helpful 52Businesses working with the Changemaker Institute to develop the program’s structure?

Well, 52Businesses has done it again. This time, with three Changemaker Institute favorites: NetWork Voluntours (formerly Crescent City Connections), Fund17, and NOLA Birth Center (run by Birthmark Doulas).  Let me tell you, each of these organizations are insanely inspiring.

  • NetWork Voluntours seeks to find a way to connect human and financial resources with the non-profits throughout New Orleans that need them!  Check out their new website (it’s super well-designed) to learn more.
  • Fund17 supports micro entrepreneurs who are financially disadvantaged as a result of issues such as income inequality.  They’re currently looking for Tulane undergrads for the 2014-2015 school year! Check out this opportunity here.
  • NOLA Birth Center creates a safe, comfortable environment to empower families through positive birth experiences.  Read blog posts about the founders’ experiences working with 52Businesses here.

52Businesses helped each venture to refine their programs which support their missions and visions. Connections like these are just another perk that come from participating in the Changemaker Institute [and in case you need a reminder, applications are due in 6 days]!
