The Kapor Center Impact Fellowship is a paid 10-week program where traditionally underrepresented students from US-based undergraduate and graduate programs get placed in a Silicon Valley or NYC startup company with a paid internship. The Kapor Center for Social Impact provides fellows with a housing and travel stipend to help ameliorate the up-front costs of relocating to the Bay Area or New York City for the summer. The majority of the interns will be placed in Silicon Valley, but the program is running a smaller New York pilot for the first time in the summer of 2014.
Fellows are expected to attend the Orientation Program on June 16, 2014 in Oakland, CA. Official start and stop dates will be decided by the employer and the fellow but will be around 10 weeks.
