Are All Calories Created Equal?

Jonathan Bailor, author of The Calorie Myth and speaker at the upcoming TEDxTU, sure doesn’t think so. He believes that eating plenty of nutrient dense food (rather than restricting calories) is the way to go.

Not only that, but he displays his findings loud and proud on his website, in his NY Times bestselling book, and through countless news sources, including the Huffington post. There, he posts on topics such as “Is the Food Guide Pyramid and MyPlate Making You and Your Family Fat?” and “118,801 Reasons Dieting is Fattening”. These innovative findings go against our traditional views on diet and exercise, but they have the power to change the direction and lifestyle habits of society. They prove that we as much as we want of nutritious foods while maintaining a healthy weight. Who knows, maybe these ideas could solve our obesity crisis?
