First, Let Me Take A Selfie

Many people have dubbed Generation Y as the selfie generation.  That’s right, readers, we’ve been called, “lazy,” “entitled,” “apathetic,” and “narcissistic.”  As aspiring changemakers, I’m sure this reputation concerns you because it certainly doesn’t fit with our goals!

However, there’s hope… when it comes 84% of millennials would rather make a positive difference than receive recognition for the work they do.  There’s 1.8 million millennials across the globe, so the impact of this demographic would be enormous.  The below video makes an argument for why millennials aren’t actually as selfish as most generations say.

Large corporations and technologic innovators have started incorporating sustainability into their business plans, but Niall Dunne, Chief Sustainability Officer at BT, encourages more businesses to follow suit in this article.  His goal is to create a movement where sustainability is “the norm, not a goal.”  Sounds like a perfect world, right?
