CELT Internship and Funding Opportunities

2014 CELT Summer Internship Award

Now accepting applications for the 2014 Summer Internship Award! Funds up to $1,000 are available for students exhibiting financial need to participate in unpaid or minimally compensated internships. Staff at the Center for Engaged Learning and Teaching will review all application materials and make awards based on exhibited financial need and the merits of the opportunity. Awards will be made on a competitive basis, up to the limit of available funds.

To be eligible for a CELT Summer Internship Award, you must meet these requirements:

  • Be a full-time freshmen, sophomore, or junior. Seniors will be considered but they must be enrolled full-time in the fall semester after their internship is completed.
  • Have not previously received the CELT Summer Internship Award.
  • Be in good standing with Tulane University.
  • Have accepted or received an offer for a specific internship prior to submitting the application.
  • Agree to terms of funding.

Internship Funding Info Sessions
Interested in securing funding for an internship this summer? If so, please join us for one of the following internship information sessions:

  • Monday, March 10 from 5-6:30 pm in LBC room 201
  • Wednesday, March 12 from 4-5:30 pm in LBC room 201

Sessions will provide information about the internship funding programs from the Center for Engaged Learning & Teaching (CELT), Newcomb College Institute, and Newcomb-Tulane College. We will discuss and answer questions about eligibility, the application and selection processes, and terms of funding for each program.

Student Internship Panel
It’s not too late to find your summer internship!

  • What?: Internship Panel
  • Who?: Freshmen and Sophomores
  • When?: Thursday, March 13 at 5pm
  • Where?: Stone Auditorium, Woldenburg Art Center 210
  • Why?: Hear feedback from a student panel of juniors and seniors who recently interned from a variety of disciplines. Includes a Q&A session and time to speak directly with panelists. Get a glimpse into the internship search process.
