The Fund for the Public Interest is a nationwide non-profit that runs grassroots campaigns on behalf of progressive groups like US PIRG, the Human Rights Campaign, and Environment America.

We’re looking for smart, motivated, action-oriented college graduates who are interested in politics, have a commitment to public interest issues, and are eager to make a real impact on some of the most crucial problems facing our society.

The Fund for the Public Interest (aka “The Fund”) helps some of the top progressive organizations in the country.  The Human Rights Campaign is fighting bigotry to protect civil rights of all Americans, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.  Environment America is working to protect our waterways and preserve our wilderness areas.  US PIRG is standing up to powerful, special interests in order to win results on issues like public health, political corruption, and consumer protection. And we’re hiring!

More specifically, we’re hiring Citizen Outreach Directors to run our grassroots campaign offices across the country next fall—working on behalf of these groups.  It’s a lot of responsibility, mainly focused on hiring, training, and managing a staff that goes out into communities to build grassroots support for the aforementioned organizations and their campaigns. You’ll give these organizations the people power they need to win!
