Interested in redefining what’s possible? In communities where half of all students earn a high school degree and less than 10% are expected to graduate from college, YES Prep Public Schools is shattering the status-quo. Founded on the premise that all students, regardless of race or socio-economic status, can achieve at the highest academic levels, YES Prep is setting a new standard for student achievement in public education.
Today, with 13 schools in operation, serving 8,000 college-bound 6th – 12th grade students throughout Houston, YES Prep is living proof that different outcomes are possible when students from low-income communities are given access to high-quality educational opportunities. Join the organization that was recently recognized as the “Best Place to Work in Houston” for the 4th year in a row, and awarded the 2012 Broad Prize as the most outstanding charter system in the nation! We seek applicants from all majors and academic backgrounds.

Join Us
YES Prep is one of the most outstanding charter school systems in the country because we recruit, train, and develop some of the best and brightest teachers in the nation. Each year, about half of the teachers new to YES Prep are new to the profession of teaching. Either as recent college graduates or professionals in transition, our “new to the profession” teachers were so compelled by our trajectory to alter the educational status quo in Houston that they decided to join us.
Along with an increasingly strong cohort of “new to the profession” teachers, we attract, select and develop a significant cohort of teachers with a background in education. Often, these veteran teachers are compelled to join our team to be a part of a school in which every single person in the building is working for the same mission.
