Kate is a junior at Tulane University studying Political Economy and International Development with minors in French and Urban Studies. In the summer of 2019, Kate received a Changemaker Catalyst award to pursue a summer internship at Design for America, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering students to be leaders for social justice in their communities. She is passionate about the intersection of equity and urban design, especially by making sure that the “design” process centers the needs of community members and gives them decision-making power (especially those that have been historically marginalized or excluded from this process).
