Did you know that 1 in 5 managers hired someone specifically because of their community service experience? Employers are looking for skills like problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking that can only be gained with hands on, real world experience.

For college students that are ready to give back to their community and gain a competitive edge during their job search, there is no better opportunity than the Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service. IPVS has been training undergraduate students to be leaders in their community for 15 years through this fast-paced eight week academic internship program, and is now accepting applications for 2014. Experience matters, and with IPVS, students will be equipped with the practical, philosophical, and ethical tools needed for leadership in the nonprofit sector.
